Shamin Abas - President

“Your public relations firm should become a partner in your success, a proactive force of nature that is always thinking of new ways to grab attention. As someone who used to write checks to PR firms, I completely understand that you want to hear what we’re doing for you, not waiting around for you to tell us what to do.”

Shamin Abas was born and raised in North Wales, UK, and has been a driven and relentless achiever from the outset.  She moved to London when only sixteen to study dance and musical theater at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts.

Arriving in the United States at age nineteen, Shamin began her career as a dancer on the mega cruise ships sailing from Miami throughout the Caribbean.  She then spent several years in Detroit, where she transitioned into public speaking and worked as a spokesmodel for companies such as Acura and Daimler Chrysler.

But the siren call of New York lured Shamin there in 1999, where she became involved in marketing and public relations. She and a partner owned and operated several restaurant and nightclub ventures in New York, the Hamptons and West Palm Beach, Florida. Shamin handled all of the marketing and public relations efforts for each of the businesses for over six years.

It seemed a natural evolution that in May of 2005, Shamin started her own separate company handling marketing, public relations and special events for a diverse clientele. Shamin’s passion for public relations and her understanding of the business world give her clients the substance they are looking for and are the driving force behind her business.  Her contacts, relationships, reputation, and professionalism have earned her a vast and solid relationship with local, regional and national media who respect her drive and ability to deliver relevant, timely and compelling pitches, and her tremendously professional follow-through.

Shamin sits on the board of directors of Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, founded by Russell Simmons and his brothers, and is the founder and chairwoman of Art for Life Palm Beach, producing the inaugural event in March of 2005 at Donald Trump’s Mar A Lago. BET founder Bob Johnson co-chaired the event with Shamin, and the guest list was a who’s who of South Florida and beyond. Sean “P Diddy” Combs was honored at the event along with Donald and Melania Trump, the honoree chairs. Star Jones acted as live auctioneer and other celebrity hosts included Venus and Serena Williams, “Rush Hour” director Brett Ratner, Al Malnik and Denise Rich.  The event was a huge success, raising close to $450,000 and selling out several weeks beforehand.  The event was featured on Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood as well as locally.
